A small ancient Roman period glass jug. Probably from the eastern provinces. Interesting design with a teardrop shaped body with flared rim and applied handle with thumb and finger grip. The shaped applied spout has squeezed decoration to the end. Dating from circa.200-600 AD. Old damage to the rim with a stable internal crack to the underside. Earthly encrustation to the inside and out. 9cms tall, 10cms wide and 5.5cms deep.
